Ever since his nomination as the Republican Party’s presidential candidate, Donald Trump is frequently labelled and portrayed by the opposing liberal party as an absolute and irredeemable racist. They support in their endeavor by referring to Trump continuously voicing his stance on eliminating illegal immigration.
In view of this, it is almost unbelievable that the same Donald Trump was once called by Reverend Jesse Jackson “an effective builder of people” and an example for the “people on Wall Street to represent diversity.”
It is indeed rather interesting to see how the left’s rhetoric regarding Trump has shifted ever since he declared his political allegiance.
Seventeen years ago, at a conference of the Rainbow-PUSH Coalition (which according to The Daily Caller, was “multi-racial, multi-issue, progressive, international membership organization fighting for social change.”), Rev. Jesse Jackson, while introducing Donald Trump said,
“He is deceptive in that his social style is of such, one can miss his seriousness and commitment to success, which is beyond argument,”
He also said,
“Aside from all of his style, and his pizazz, he’s a serious person who is an effective builder of people.”
An effective builder of people!
Watch the introduction clip here:
In the same speech, while acknowledging Trump’s help towards his project, Jackson said,
“When we opened this Wall Street project, he gave us space at 40 Wall Street, which was to make a statement about our having a presence there.”
While still talking with regards to Trump, Rev. Jackson further said that,
“We need your building skills, your gusto…”
He also referred to Trump as an example for the “people on Wall Street to represent diversity.”
“Beyond that, in terms of reaching out and being inclusive, he’s done that too,” added the leftist spokesman. “He has this sense of the curious and a will to make things better.”
The full speech can be found here.
It is note-worthy that the same Donald Trump which was proclaimed to be role model for the wall street” and “an effective builder of the peo0ple” with “a will to make things better” while he was furthering the cause of Rev. Jackson, became a crude racist and “a divider of people” as soon as he claimed allegiance with the Republican Party.
Such is the reality of the leftist campaign.
