After ranting about Trump on “The View”, Joy Behar’s co-hosts reached their limit and sounded off with some actual truth.
The verbal lashing occurred after Behar had accused President Trump of being “the only president who has his own TV channel in history. [Former President Richard] Nixon didn’t have it, so [Trump] has Fox News, and Fox will just back him up.”
Co-host Abby Huntsman spoke up that Behar shouldn’t lump all of Fox together in such a way, but Behar labored on saying Trump’s “failure as a president means their failure as a station. So they have everything invested in propping him up and backing his lies.”
It was here that Behar started to get her comeuppance. Huntsman inquired if Behar had seen Trump’s interview with Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday.” After admitting to seeing “some of it” Huntsman forced Behar to concede that “hard-hitting questions” had been issued in the interview.
“There are a number of folks [at Fox News] that very much push back on [Trump] and are not in his camp that are great journalists,” Huntsman said.
Taking Huntsman’s side was Meghan McCain who just recently had her own verbal sparring match with Behar. Citing her time as a co-host on Fox News’ “Outnumbered,” McCain began listing names of journalists working for Fox News who were willing to criticize Trump: “Bret Baier, Kennedy, Harris Faulkner, Shep Smith. I could go on and on and on. There are a lot of great people at Fox News.”
Even with all of this knowledge on hand Behar continued her rant saying “there are plenty who don’t” push on Trump. She even went so far as to say that the “Fox base watches the ones that do not.” Where she gleaned that information from is anyone’s guess as Behar offered no evidence.
