Illegal immigrant scofflaws hoping to obtain a good night’s rest in Arizona shall find no such luxury at two Motel 6 hotels that have been tipping U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to illegals staying at their facilities.
Located in two predominantly Latino neighborhoods of Phoenix, these hotels’ willingness to assist authorities in enforcing federal immigration laws has already resulted in at least 20 arrests, according to the Phoenix New Times.
Included among the arrestees was Manuel Rodriguez-Juarez, an unrepentant illegal immigrant from Mexico who described to the Times laying on his hotel room bed and watching TV when he heard a knock at the door.
“He opened it,” the Times noted. “Three agents from (ICE) were waiting for him. When asked, Rodriguez-Juarez admitted that he wasn’t authorized to be in the United States. He’s currently being held at the immigration detention center in Florence while his lawyer, Juan Rocha, tries to get him asylum.”
Forget asylum. He deserves deportation, as does any other illegal immigrant who feels entitled to flagrantly violating our immigration laws.
As for these Motel 6 branches, they deserve an award for their unflinching patriotism.
