Despite the progress in race relations that came in the 1970s and 80s, today it feels, in some ways, like American race relations are worse than ever. Despite the fact that equality has become a hallmark of modern American society, there continue to be large groups of so-called “activists” that complain incessantly about what they perceive to be “systematic discrimination” in our country.
One of the main tools of the people fighting this imaginary war is white guilt, the attempt to cause feelings of remorse and regret among white people for things that either 1) where done decades ago by their ancestors, or 2) they have no direct control over.
It’s a controversial stance, but if you think that would keep it from showing up in school classrooms, you should think again…
Students at a high school in Virginia were forced to watch a video entitled “Structural Discrimination: The Unequal Opportunity Race,” and now parents are outraged.
The video speaks for itself:
If that’s not indoctrination, then what is? The goal of this video is obvious: to perpetuate animosity toward whites and make them feel like they owe other races to make up for the “advantage” they may have experienced in the past.
As you can imagine, this video is causing a huge stir around the country, and the fact that it was being shown in a public high school classroom is making people even more angry.
What do you think? Is this video totally out of line?
