New York Times columnist David Brooks gave his two cents on President Trump’s decision to arm teachers with firearms and called the plan “truly demented.”
Brooks stated, “It’s a demented idea. I mean, aside from everything else, the dangers of it, just think of how it changes the student-teacher relationship to see them packing a gun. I mean, it’s truly demented.”
He also added that the idea to arm teachers and staff is “the opposite of” a good idea.
